The Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling is dedicated to the advancement and application of knowledge concerning human behavior, especially in relation to education and counseling in the broadest sense. The department is to prepare students to work as educators and counselors working with individuals, families, and groups in educational, organizational, and community settings. To achieve the above goals, the department provides training in psychological foundations of education, counseling, research methods, and the practice of counseling psychology, school psychology, and other areas of applied psychology.
